Set off on our journey to the medieval town of Saint-Ursanne, situated on the Le Doubes river in the Canton Jura, a french region of Switzerland. Once we left the many varied autoputs our senses were challenges by the most beautiful landscapes. We woke up & needed some supplies - farm fresh eggs, fruit & vegies - just a short stroll up, up & more up the Kilchberg Hills. The weather forecast was for rain from mid-day onwards, so a slack indoors day was planned. We got itchy feet & decided to go for a walk as the rain had stopped. A brief drive & a stroll towards Rapperswil around the edge of the Zurich See were the order of mid afternoon. Thank goodness we packed some wet weather...

Mira wouldn't let us sleep (to avoid jet lag) so we walked around town after going to the art gallery first. She's lived in Zurich surrounds for 24 years & we had to show her the Gallery. My most interesting piece is the statue that stands about 3 metres - its made out of black & white dice. The artworks include Van Gogh, Matisse, Monet & Picasso. Left home at 3.15pm - off the Tullamarine with Sam (our trusty driver). Arrived at Changi Airport at midnight (Singapore time). Departed Changi 1:25am & arrived at Zurich at 7:55 am. Great train connections from the airport to Mira's place in Kilchberg (overlooking the Zurich See). Got there for a great cup of coffee at about 9:30am on 17th June.
