Today, John, Mira & I travelled into the mountainside in Switzerland. This blog will have three parts as we had three major destinations. The first was Grindelwald - we saw 3 mountains - the Eiger, Monarch & Jungfrau, all quite famous. We had lunch in the meadows 'beneath' the Eiger. We had to make the most of every minute today. After lunch we headed off to a canyon that was opened to the public in 1888 - known as Aareschlucht. We walked from the west entrance to the east & back. The paths created along the southern side of the canyon took us along wooden walkways and through tunnels carved out of the surrounding rock.
