Off early with Marto & Ljubica to Triberg to see the waterfalls of the Black Forest.
The first stop was to see the largest Cuckoo Clock in the world. It was the size of a typical german countryside house. The cuckoo came out once at 10:30am & then once at 11:00am except this time it cuckooed 11 times.
The shop nearby was full of clocks of all types - particularly cuckoo clocks & a room full of grandfather clocks of all sizes.
At Triberg, we walked through the forest to waterfalls & were fortunate to see squirrels up close - busily helping themselves to peanuts. They snaffled these one at a time & if frightened off scurried up the trees.
The walk was leisurely & took us through sections of forest to the waterfalls, a lake & a baroque pilgrimage church 'Maria in der Tanne', dating back to the mid 1600s.
