Another big driving day today to get us well on our way to Mount Gambier our last stop over before Adelaide.
We set off early stopping off at a couple of rock formations beyond the twelve apostles. We saw The Arch which may not be here too much longer (so sad!) and London Bridge (the other one). It was blowing a gale, and tipping with rain and hail (in Australia!) but I held on tight to get a couple of great shots - getting absolutely soaked in the process. From there we continued on our 300 kilometre drive, stopping off at Port Fairy for a nose around the town. Lots of new property under construction - huge houses. Port Fairy is like stepping back in time to the 70's - lovely though!
We arrived at our stop over late this afternoon and chilled out for a few hours before dinner - very nice. We realised quite late on the time zone had changed by half an hour when we arrived in South Australia (oops)
On to Adelaide tomorrow where we are joining Gina, a work colleague and her family for dinner - very much looking forward to meeting up! Today's biggest struggle has been choosing a decent bottle of wine to take - good on French, not so good on New World!
