Funniest days of the trip... This small island has experienced many dramatic incidents, 4 bombings, invasion a few times and now the clout!!!!!! We survived many things perceived as dangerous to man on our trip so far....... spiders, snakes, jumping out of planes however we seem to fall victim to the same evil.........cheap drinks. 40p beer, 60p wine and the fact we hadnt drunk properly for 4 weeks resulted in a right royal mess. The clock struck 10 o'clock we had already invited the waiter out with us buying all his drinks and ruining him, 4 bottles had gone down. The rest is hazy but the conclusion of the night is the funniest of the trip. I awoke the following day looking peering at my sweaty watch which revealed that the day was nearly up 5pm. I looked next to my right to ask clout what had happened. All that was next to me was an empty bed. 7 o clock came no sign of clout and brain kept playing over the same image like a uk gold repeated a team .......paying a bali local to get me out a place that other angry locals were chasing us. The search for clout took me through 8 hospitals all greeting me at the reception with the identical poor english and carbon copy point to the international wing of their wards. Each nurse saying they had clout there but each time it was just another westerner who looked an extra from holby city. the last hospital i checked led me to the promised land..... a certain choir song comes to mind right now are u familiar with 'i was cold i was naked were u there were u there'..............clout is found in intensive care naked dazed and confused. Doctors are later to report that he had either drunk to much or was doped. Naturist clout lay naked whilst i took my lovely fashion assistant in the shape of a nurse to buy new clothes for clout. The nurse wouldnt let me buy him girl clothes but i did get away with making him wear the most offending shorts and doctors coat which he had to wear through the crowded streets of bali. He is fine and we havent stoped laughing since the event. I wonder what else lurks in the next few days of our first week
