Yesterday my new-found Kiwi fellow traveller Claire and I went to visit the Temples of Angkor. I've been told that if you're going to visit temples then Cambodia is the place to do it, and it sure is that. A Tuk Tuk driver drove us around the main temples of the area from about 9am til about 4pm and it cost us a mere 5 US dollars each (plus a 1 day entrance fee of course). It might have helped to get an English speaking guide because after a while we grew a tad tired. However, the highlights for me were the mighty Angkor Wat, which is the largest religious building in the world, and Ta Phrom, which looks like it's straight out of an Indiana Jones movie. In fact, parts of Tombraider were actually filmed there. Check out the photos of the trees strangling the temple!
