Up at 4am to prep for our big day. The boat leaves at 5:30am to take us to the blue hole.
The trip takes about 2 and half ours to reach our destination. Then we quickly suit up and down we go about 140 feet deep. It's dark with large hanging formations you swim through. Through a small opening with a flash light you can see huge Drum Fish. As we come up there are a few sharks in the distance and a couple other big fish. The dive only lasts about 20 minutes but something to experience I guess.
Our next site was pretty awesome. Huge coral formations and tons of fish. Best part was swimming through an opening in the reef amongst huge schools of tiny fish. Wait did I say best part? While examining the coral I saw the biggest fish EVER! I waved Neil over to see. He was bigger than me and Neil. Massive...never seen anything like it.
The last dive was called the aquarium, and that it was. Tons of fish. At the end Neil managed to find us a couple turtles and a sting ray.
Getting back at 6pm we grabbed some dinner and back home for bed. Tomorrow is yet another early morning with a trip to the mainland and the Lamanai Ruins.
