Im trying to waste some time in Hikkaduwa before i start travelling around the rest of Sri Lanka over the next few weeks. Ive come to the conclusion that travellers dont tend to do much at all. Sleep, eat, surf a little bit, read and sleep some more. Spoke to a bloke that organises the voluntary work round here but theres nothing going so its a bit boring. Spose ill have to just go and sunbath on one of Sri Lanka's well nice beaches! Met some quite interesting people over the last week, people who have travelled the whole world and still end up being slackers just like the rest of us. Quite a big drug culture out here if anyone is interested, met a bloke today who's drug of choice whilst travelling is Valium, the anti-depressant, because it passes the time on bumpy bus journeys and stops him feeling scared!
