Today we went shopping.... Hard to believe but I actually went into a shop!!!
Managed to buy a new suit, some work pants, a pair of jeans and 3 pairs of shoes..... That is it for me!!!
The place where I bought my suit had a recommended tailor across the street so I dropped off my suit and it is being amended on the spot so it is ready to be worn! Amazing service and cheap... The tailor is located on the 5th floor of this warehouse and was really helpful.
Whilst walking around this morning we saw the most bizarre and disgusting thing so far in New York. There was this guy on the corner of a very busy intersection, with people around him literally everywhere, and he was crouched down against a rubbish bin having a dump and wiping his arse!!!!
We seriously had to look twice to see if what we thought we were seeing was actually happening!!!! Yep, it was and no one around seem to care or notice....crazy town!!!!
After shopping since I was feeling so domesticated I decided to do the Laundry and let Nadeen hit the shops alone - needless to say I have finished the washing and drying of our clothes but I am yet to see Nadeen!!!!
She has arrived back from Macy's loaded up with make up - according to Nadeen it is dirt cheap so she is very happy. She also bought a Calvin Klein top.
After our domestic chores and the shopping we hit the streets of New York and walked to the Meat Packaging District and then up through the Soho district to Katz's Deli where we had the most amazing sandwich - certainly worth all the hype!!!
Tonight we are of to see our first Broadway Show. We are going to see Newsical the Musical which is about a mockery of all of the news that's fit to print.
The show was quite entertaining however obviously focused on local events so some of them were difficult to follow - despite that the actors were very talented and whilst the show lasted just over an hour we both enjoyed it.
After the show we had a slice of pizza - as you do here (for $1) and then went and had a drink - check out the photo... I had 8 "sampling" glasses for $14!!!
Nadeen enjoyed two local cocktails while I tried my local beers.
Still loving this City.....
