I spent about 3 hours this afternoon visiting the Alhambra. It is a remarkable thing to see. I wish I could have stayed longer! And I would really love to see the gardens in full bloom. They are magnificent now - at the end of November. I can only imagine what they must be like in May.
The visitor statistics is also incredible. They sell 300 tickets for every half hour entry time from 8:30am 363 days of the year. And you have to be at the gate at the time shown on your ticket. That's a lot of people. You progress through the site via a very set path and your ticket is scanned about 5 times as you progress. You must go forward. You can't double back because there are so many coming behind you. Of course this means it is very difficult to get photographs that are not populated by hoards of people.
I have posted some of my photos here, but some of them still need to be "attended to" which is a little difficult when I am on the road.
