This will shock some of you but today I actually paid to go to a museum!! It was part of going out to the townships to visit the local people and before you could go they want you to go to the museum to get a history and understanding of their backgrounds. On the trip thats now finished we were not allowed to actually see how the local people live as it would be intruding on their privacy and so we would just drive past all the towns and just see shack aft...

This was my first day waking up without everyone from the group being at breakfast. It felt a bit strange but luckily some of them are still here in Cape Town we are just dotted around different areas now. It was nice today to just go to the beach and not do much else during the day. In the evening we went back to the Afrian club which we went to on the first night of getting here. Everyone gets up and dances to the local bands that play.

Cape Town has some lovely beaches but we havent had too much time to chill out on them as we are off visiting other places. Its fine for me though as Im here for 2 weeks so Ill have loads of time from Saturday to get some rays. We went to the Cape of Good hope today which is where you can take some great pictures. Shame I dont have a camera working !! Weve arrived at the point where the Indian Ocean meets the Atlantic Ocean so theres a big sign where you have your picture taken. Apparently the water is loads warmer on the Indian Ocean side of Africa so when I get to Cape Town Ill have to see if you can feel the difference.
