Went elephant trekking again today but this time bareback! It is a lot more comfortable for the elephant than having a big seat on their back. Woke up early and rented a moped for the day to do some sightseeing around beautiful Pai. We had a delicious breakfast and magic potion pot of tea at a cute hippy cafe; the Witching Well. Helena & I booked a full day cooking course at 'The Best Thai Cookery School'. Arrived in Chiang Mai at 6am on the night bus and checked into the BMP hotel. After a 2 hour nap it was time for our day out. We drove an hour from Chiang Mai to an elephant camp, the elephant ride was through the jungle, up steep muddy slopes and down riverbanks.
