Up this morning at sparrow fart! You need to understand the sparrows are very late risers here. Down to breakfast by 09:15 for omelette and bacon and toast etc etc. Then off to organise some tours. Left the hotel and just outside there happened to be a tuk tuk waiting: so we tuk it! The dive place we had reconnoitered the day before was closed (sparrows still being resuscitated) so we went off to organise the island tours. Walked to the end of the bay part of the beach and around and up the road until we found a little cafe/bar called the Dragon, which instantly took our fancy by dint of the fact that it sold food and drink! SO we stopped and had a beer and the obligatory watermelon juice! Seemed like a good place to return to so we made a note. Just down the road we managed to book tours to all of the places that we wanted to go to for 1000THB each per person for a total of A$200! That took care of Thu, Fri and Sun: now to find a diving tour...went via several tailors (you cant help but go via tailors here) to the dive place and they still weren't open so we backtracked to another restaurant called La Casa which had free wifi and good food! Post lunch we went to the Scuba Addicts office and organised our dives for Wed to Phi Phi! Yee Ha! After that we took a tuk tuk home for a well earned rest by the pool. Upon being revitalised we went to dinner at the afore said Dragon where we were entertained by a Philipino singer/pianist who was not too bad! Walked home via the Blue Water Cafe which has an awesome happy hour deal: buy a beer get one free and ALL cocktails 100THB each! Sue had a B52 followed by the obligatory watermelon juice! Home to bed soon after but we would have loved the pool to have been open becaue we were soaked (from sweat) by the time we got back!
