Started the day with a nice breakfast in the hotel. Took a few photos and then caught the shuttle to the airport. Checking in was fairly easy and we had very little trouble making our way to the departure area for our Air Asia flight to Krabi. There was however, one minor problem. We had bought a bottle of Bailey's in Melbourne duty free and Sue had left it in her carry-on! Unfortunately, it was not allowed to be taken on board and it would have cost us 500 THB to have it placed in our (already checked through) suitcase, so we had to wave it goodbye! :( Buggar! On the flight we sat next to a lovely girl from Scotland who had her little 2 year old with her and the trip past quickly. Arriving into Krabi we were amazed at how green it looked. It was lovely and sunny to our surprise, but as hot as we had expected! We were met by our shuttle driver and taken to our hotel, about a 30 minute drive from the airport. The hotel is amazing and on arrival we were given cold towels and a lovely drink of plum juice on ice. Our room had been decorated with a beautiful arrangement of towels in the shape of swans and they had made us a cake with Happy Honeymoon on it! I had told them that it was our 30th wedding anniversary when booking so I guess that was the nearest interpretation they could manage! We went for a walk along the beach and I bought some shorts (2 pair for around $25) and 5 pairs of undies for around $1 each! We had lunch at a little outdoor restaurant and made piggies of ourselves as usual. It bucketed down a couple of times during the afternoon but in between it was nice. Took a Tuk Tuk back to the hotel and had a restful afternoon/evening and then dinner in the hotel before returning to our room for a hard earned sleep. We had a look at a number of tour places and have big plans!

Leigh Stokes Happy to see you arrived safely and that you accommodation is excellent. Right about now is a strong word in my mind ....Envious!! I hope you and your wife have a great "honeymoon" together- you both deserve it!! Don't try and think of us too much of us slaving away at work drinking lukewarm teas and enjoying our 3 degree mornings, etc!!
Paul Waller Glad to hear that you are both having a great time. It is 3 deg C here this morning! Enjoy it while you can! Love from The Wallers
