Lily Beetle
Hi Im Lily Beetle and I am an INVASIVE SPECIES.
I am originally from north Eurasian land mass from central Europe to the Pacific but I am not native to the British Isles...and apparently this is a problem, damm racists!
At the minute I am more or less confined to greater Belfast but I have been spreading across south and east Belfast for several years and have currently reached Crossnacreevy about six miles into County Down . The species geeks kidnapped my family from a garden at Kings Road, east Belfast. They were picked off an Asiatic hybrid lily, Lilium 'Connecticut King' by the home owner....and for this I want revenge. Im on to you toomath, im watching your every move...well on this blog, but thats by no means any less frightening. Its taken me ages to type this message as im very light (I work out) and as for searching on google, dont even get me started...but this shows how determined I am to get my family back!
Anyway watch your back I am around 6-8mm long and bright red except for the head, legs and antennae which are black... (google...again) your so screwed ...mawhaaahahahahahaha (evil beetle laugh)
I want my family back or ill go from garden to gadren destroying domestic plants...and im not kidding I can eat like a champion, like for example one day you'll have nice plants....next day no nice plants..im f***ing serious, gone like.
Ok..All the best.
Lily

You win! Give me Frazer Island anyday! I am in Vietnam when the final is on but hopefully I can find a TV!
YHAs are pretty good, you know what you will get most of the time. We stayed in 3 in NZ: Taupo (basic but cheap and well located), Wellington (best hostel we stayed in along with Wake Up in Sydney) and Christchurch (lacking atmosphere, probably best avoided but if there is nothing else it is OK). Off the top of my head I can't remember staying in any others though.....
Looking forward to your next few blogs now you are getting to where we were!
Chris
True Blue - you're sick - I didn't see it as I was on a bus all night but I can assure you I don't need that...
But hey, fair play, disrespectful putting a team like that out against a team in the top 6. I can annoy you though, we're going to Fraser Island tomorrow! HA!
We've found YHA to be a reliable chain of hostels by the way, gonna use them quite a bit we think so if ya stayed in any rubbish YHA do tell. You and Katy MUST come back and go the Whitsunday, when we get the blog up by the weekend, you'll understand!
True Blue (Aka Mike T)
Seeing I have annoyed every other United fan I know (we don't often get the chance) .............
HAHA! :)

Hi Chris
Know what you mean about the dull hostels, some have their little cliques of what seems to be permanent residents and they aren't too welcoming sometimes! Not sure why the Christchurch one was better, it just had a friendlier, fun vibe in a great spot in the centre with a decent bar on the ground floor... Christchurch is quite dull so it is probably just because it offered a little bit of fun! When we were there the bar had a guy on a 15 foot unicycle juggling with fire. Bearing in mind the ceiling was only about 15 foot high, it was something to watch! Room we got was great up on the top floor and the kitchen was spot on. We stayed in a YHA in C'church and it was boring as...
Anyway, Brisbane has a little strip of hostels just two minutes walk from the bus/train station (Roma Street). we stayed in the Brisbane City YHA there which was nice (the rooms at the front of the building were slightly better). There is one called Cloud9 which seemed a bit 18-30 from the outside... and another on beside it which seemed better but we didn't stay in (was in the bar but can't remember the name though). Yellow submarine was a bit of a dive but we arrived with nowhere to stay and thought we would give it a go, friendly etc but in need of a lick of paint!
Hope that helps! There is a Base in Brisbane too! Good job on the Melbourne front.... top city!

Hi Julz. you finally made it to the zoo! Waow im impressed. Were you the navigator? Surely sat nav was brought into play??? And Penguins, surely penguins are bird, not mammals, just not flight bird - they lay eggs!! mammals give birth to live young so duh on PG... but Fulton (chris says) you are a dipsh*t!! i gotta give you guys a science education on our return.
Gutted about your day out at the beach, its been cold and wet here too, like 22 degrees and bucketing - its awful haha the only thing to do is kick chris's ass at card games.
Oh i thought you would appreciate the civil service comment - that guy worked more than me back in my old civil service days.
