We made our way into Melbourne on the 3rd day, and i'd love to tell you that our hostel was amazing, but it was pretty rank to be honest...we were sharing in a 10-bed dorm and Kerry looked like she was going to be physically sick...they were doing roadworks outside as well and at 8am every morning without fail a drill would go off that sounded like the end of the world...it was only for 3days though so we soldiered on and its saving grace was that it was strategically situated next to the Neighbours Tour Group shop...My Mecca...! We went in straight away and enquired about the Neighbours Pub Quiz night...unfortunately it was fully booked but they told us to head down as they let people in at the door...so with a line up of Ned, Boyd, Lynn and Dr Karl rocking with his band...it was too much to resist...we headed down without too many high hopes and as luck would have it, we were let in...AWESOME...was such a surreal night...unfortunately (or fortunately) Dylan was a last minute stand-in for Ned, but as you may recall Ed and I met him in Adelaide...we got a few amazing photo's with squeaky voiced Dylan (who dropped a bombshell about his future in Ramsey Street...!), Mr 'Im God's gift to women' Boyd Hoyland in a G-Unit tshirt and Lynn Scully, who i told was a 'legend cos she gave birth to Flick...' Oh dear...! We managed to get photo's with them, but it wasnt as intimate as we got with Ned...was literally just 30secs...but it was enough...we then got to watch Dr Karl and his band...and even tho he looked like he was an embarrasing Uncle at Kareoke, they still got an amazing reception for what was essentially a cover band. Was an awesome night...Ed had put up the photo's on his website...hope u enjoy the 'i love u Boyd' sign i made...Yes!!!
