We managed to crowbar in a six day tour to Tasmania in that time...had the best time there...mainly as our group was so cool, everyone was around our age and we got to make some really good friendships...the first day was dedicated to viewing a couple of amazing waterfalls and a bit of treking...we then went to the sand dunes on day two, where i had to be rescued by our tour guide, Adam (another legend) from Quicksand...trust the asian to fall in right...? Then did some quadbiking (on a quad bike named Melody from PCD...yes!!!) on the sand dunes, such a mindblowing experience...then treked up Cradle Mountain on Day 3, in trainers i bought from Target (Oz answer to Primark) and headed to the worlds 2nd best beach, which i have to say was pretty stunning...Adams catchphrase throught the tour was 'i think this might well be the best ... in Tasmania...if not the world'...! We were also introduced to a drinking game called 'Three Man'...by this Canadian couple...it got the better of Ed on the third night, as we literally had to manhandle him to bed...was so funny...! The next night he thought it would be funny to shave his hair off, halfway through a party...but it looked more like a V-shaped mullet...simply stunning...!
The next day we treked up Mount Amos...unfortunately we had a toga party the night before and I was slightly the worse for wear...i say it was a toga party...but i was the first one dressed in a greenbedsheet way before everyone else, and I decided to make mine into a Sari...was mightily impressed as i managed to get the pleats and everything...tho this wasnt helping my cause as Mount Amos was a nightmare to climb, practically vertical cliffs with smooth slippery surfaces...took me about an hour and a half, and i was gigling all the way and playing the Leopold street classic 'words that end in -tion' (rastacalisation) cos i was so nervous...but i made it, and the view made it so worthwhile...i hope the view of Wineglass bay come across on the photo's...if not u have to come see it yourself, it was stunning...we had a baby party the next night and for the life of me I do not know why im pulling some of the poses ive pulled, but was such a funny night...the best thing about the trip was that Ed, Kerry and I were probably at the centre of most of the action...I was Adam's monkey, he gave everyone a tie to wear on Day one and i was still wearing it after the 6th day...he also gave me that awful yellow bandana...and I would provide the bus entertainment by singing at the top of my voive to Spice Girls...lol. He was a really interesting guy tho...at one point stopping the bus to save the life of a blue tongued lizard and to show us a Pocupine...which led Kerry to utter those amazing words...what are those things called...Pukka pies...you know, those furry things...Porcupines...! We all had the best time on the trip...I also managed to learn a few words of Japanese from this really cool Japanese girl called Marie...Subarashi...excellent...! And the best thing is most of them are doing similar trips to us, so we will catch up with a few of them in Sydney for New Years.
