We just got back from Kenting. Five days exploring beaches and shopping along their main strip. the weather was perfect and the water was amazing. Temperature was around 30-35 everyday, the water was warm. We found a room along the main strip with a big belcony looking down on shops and the ocean. Kenting was a pretty cheap place to stay, decent rooms starting around $30 and food starting around $1. We spent most of our days on 3 different beaches and our nights on the main strip enjoying Kentings night life. One of the highlights was the food. Breakfast shops, street vendors and western style restaurants.

After a 8 hour drive back into taipei, we are finally back. Looks like a typhoon is heading this way. Typhoon Jelawat shouldn't be here for a few days, but we plan on hunkering down when it arrives. So our plans are to stay in Taipei for the next week and a half, then aim for the Penghu Islands.
