An early morning rush it was to make it in time for the 10.00am bus that left manhattan for Six flags, New Jersey. It was a rat race having to catch the subway from brooklyn into new york and then find our tickets and way to the bus all on our own. That subway system is tricky! But we made it (just)..
As soon as we got there, about 2hrs later, there was nothing but sky high roller coasters and rides that looked more impressive than i could have asked for. I was so anxious to get on the first ride and see if they were as good as they were high. Nanna and i both went on the 'Dare Devil Flight' first and i think i lost my stomach in the air somewhere! We were basically in a sack that dropped when i pulled the string and flung us metres through the air. It was crazyy and a great way to start the day. After that we headed to the Superman and unfortunately the line for it was 90mins which wasnt great considering how impatient i am but it was definetly worth the wait. We then headed to another ride and thats where things got a bit fuzzy...i thought i had copped it when i was seeing stars and my head was pounding but then i looked over and realised nanna was being sick! We quickly rushed to the closest corner and it wasnt pretty but i give her credit for going on the rides that even made me nervous!
After lunch (and realizing its impossible to find healthy food at an american theme park) i was eager to go on Kinda Ka...the fastest and tallest ride in the northern hemisphere. Oh my god. It was the most thrilling 30 seconds of my life. I could not even move my face and i couldnt help but drop a few f bombs at the top. I wish it lasted longer but the adrenaline rush you receive is enough to last the entire day. The fun didnt stop there, all the rides i went on may have only lasted half a minute or so but the lines were over an hour...thank goodness they were worth it!
At the end of the day i played a carnival game and won a superman cape..wooh. And after waiting for what seemed like forever in the freezing cold, we were on our way back to the city after a great day. Nanna got a little motion sick again on the ride home but was able to keep it down until we got off the bus. We then caught the subway back to brooklyn and as soon as my head hit the pillow, I was out.
