Singapore Day 2
After some patchy sleep last night, I started today with a trip to the city centre. Snapping myself some decent photos, whilst getting lost at the same time! So one taxi ride later, here I am kicked back on the roof of the hostel which has some epic views of the skyscrapers. Thankfully its just been raining for about 20 minutes, for once I am glad! as it brought the humidity down briefly.
So my thoughts on Singapore is that it resembles quiet a few things from home. Firstly, your wallet still gets raped everytime you want the quench your thirst for beer. They drive on teh same side of the road, use the same power sockets, most of the locals and foreigners speak to each other in English, regardless if its there first language or not. most signs are in english only, and the ones that are not have english as the first.
All in all, not much exciting in this city, and with the jet lag and feeling nakered all of today, I only really have tommorow to explore properly before I move to the Malaysian Peninsuar. I think tommorow I am going to ride the MRT to Little India and China Town. I will definetely get myself down to the bay as well while I am at it.
A great place to start though and prepare myself for less familiar places as I progress with my travel.
