Hello once again! We got back to Spain yesterday afternoon after a long overnight train from Lisbon to Madrid and then a 3 hour train from Madrid to Seville (or Sevilla as it´s locally known). One thing that you should know if you plan to come to Seville is that it is very, very, very hot in the middle of summer. Get accomodation with functional air-conditioning. Alternatively, do lots of shopping and spend your days in air-conditioned comfort. When we got here yesterday, standing in the sun felt like your skin was being pierced, but today was slightly cooler.
In terms of activities, we went to see a flamenco show last night which was pretty good. I haven´t seen much flamenco dancing before so I was impressed by their rhythm and the fast pace of their dancing. This morning we went to visit a big cathedral (I don´t know the name) but Christopher Columbus was buried there! I have a photo. We also saw a Muslim/Catholic alcazar (it changed over time) and walked around a bit in the Jewish quarter. Sonja´s gone to the Plaza Espana park but I´ve had enough for a little while so I´m back at the hostel which is cooler than outside if you stand outside the bathrooms which have a slightly cooler air emanating from them...
