Hi guys me again! Right then when i left you i was just about to get the overnight train to Moscow, it was such great fun we left St Petersburg and Tim at 00.20. We were all so excited at our first train none of us slept a wink! Arrived in Moscow at 9.00 the next morning and met our Muscovite honcho Tatiana. We dumped our bags at our new hostel and headed out, we went for a traditional Russian breakfast then went to a photography exhibition called The Best of Russia 2012 it was brillant. After that we had a nice long tram ride out to Gorky Park which was so beautiful, frozen lake and snow dusted trees. We carried on walking and Tatiana took us to a Sculpture park where all the statues that don't get used or went a bit wrong have all been put together almost like a graveyard! From there we could see Tserteli's monument of Peter the Great (it was originally Columbus but because he's not Russian they removed his head and changed it to Peter the Great!!) Walked some more and reached the catherdral of Christ our saviour (now some of you may noticed the picture i used for my St Petersburg blog was actually catherdral of christ our saviour, i mucked up because i couldn't see the picture properly so my Moscow blog is church on spilled blood to make up for it) Absolutely bushed so went back to the hostel, we thought it was going to be quiet night but the hostel had other plans! Everyone in the hostel gathered in the lounge (completely unplanned) and had our first vodka night amazing! It was very quiet around the hostel this morning lol!!! After a late start this morning we have done the classic Moscow sights Kremlin, Red Square, St Basil's Catherdral and the tomb of the unknown soldier. The only thing we couldn't do was Lenin's Mausoleum as it has been closed for the past 6 months!! Boo. Other than that we have covered everthing and more! After last night excitement it will be quiet tonight. We have been to the supermarket to stock up on food for the train as tomorrow at 13.00 we leave Moscow behind, to begin our the Trans Siberian journey 4 days and 3 nights before we reach Irkutsk which unfortunatley is the next time can update you. Until then! xxx
