Well we made it to Aonang!! The ferry crossing was a tad overcast! But 3 hours later we arrived in the rockiest place I've ever seen. I really really didn't like it!! It looked like the kind of place that pirates of the Caribbean would have been set, I just kept imagining the black pearl or an equivalent to come around us! I'm sure as cherry kept saying it would be different in the sun... But it wasn't sunny so I was very freaked out by it all!
We got off the ferry and once again people were shouting "taxi" or "tuk tuk" doing their arm wiggle. Luckily for us, we had a free transfer included- yeeees! We got on the back of a bus with about 12 other people. One man was rude enough to say that my bag looked about 5 stone. Which I took offense to.. I think ive become quite a light packer, however with 3 handbags and lots of new clothes I'm my bag it's certainly cosy in there.
We got to the hotel which is a cute little family run hotel. It's very pleasant in the most perfect location! Very central, but not too close to all the hassle and bustle. We really wanted to go out tonight, but decided against it because of our 6 hours traveling and very early start tomorrow :(
We went for a meal at an italian restaurant, yummy! Had some of the strongest cocktails we've tried yet which was just what the doctor ordered after such a long day! All of the staff were so lovely, so we left very happy!
Later we went to explore the markets and the rest of the town! We were looking in lots of nice little places, as soon as the people came over and said "looky looky" that was us saying goodbye. It's now got to the point where I fear that if cherry hears it one more time, the poor Thai woman or man may end up with a swollen lip, she's got quite a little attitude when it comes to those two words!
We got asked out by about four groups of men. Cherry attracts the short Thai men, whereas I attract the pierced/tattooed taller Thais... Every single one told us to meet them in their specified place at 11 o clock.. They all said they would take us out to party, and they would wait for us to turn up. One man made me do an English pinky promise... Which makes me feel awful, because as Charlie knows I never break a pinky... First time for everything I suppose! I fear we may have broken a few hearts tonight!!
I got my nails done for an amazing £4!!!!!! They are pink with Hawaiian flowers on my thumbs- they are simply amazing! Cherry didn't fancy it so proceeded to fall asleep in the salon, and then started laughing at a guy when his girlfriend made him go and get a pedicure, poor guy!
And best of all... We found these animals... I held an iguana which was the scariest and strangest creature but actually really sweet! Cherry was terrified and refused to go near the cute little guy. So I got pictures holding my little friend bobby alone! Further up the street we saw the CUTEST thing EVER!!! A baby monkey called beau. Oh my gosh, he was the most adorable little man!! Cherry cradled him and I gave him leaves! He clung on to Cherrys hair and then started eating it! His little baby hands would hold onto yours and aww I just want him!!!
So we have decided that krabi is an amazing place. So sad we don't have longer here! But onwards to lady boys in samui!!!
