After a nice early breakfast - it was time for the 3 hour boat ride back to the other lodge. It started POURING down early in the morning. not raining but dumping harder than I've ever seen. The river was insane and I was scared s***less as was everyone else, to get in this "canoe/boat" for the trip back. We all covered up in ponchos (some in plastic bags) and set out expecting to overturn! But these guys are used to this I guess cuz they handled the river amazingly and although we were all soaked from the rain (ponchos or not) we made it safely back to the main camp! The main camp was more like a lodge with rooms but set right in front of another waterfall - Hacha and Wadaima! The rest of the group left as it was their second day so I was solo for my next tour.
Set off in the afternoon with just me and my guide for about a 2 hour long hike to the waterfalls Sapo (frog) and Sapito (small frog). We actually walked behind the big waterfall! At a few points there was so much water hitting me I couldn't see anything and I was sure I was going to slip on those damn slippery rocks and go over the falls! Between that and the boat ride the day before - I know my heart works just fine as there was no heart attack involved :). Walked - climbed up to the top after getting across for some of the most beautiful scenery I've ever encountered. The pictures I've got do not do it justice! Another climb up Sapito and still more spectacular views! An amazing afternoon and just relaxed that evening for my trip back the following day.
