We are in the Cuzco airport. The process of leaving is interesting. We are seeking out places that remind us of home. Lunch at McDonalds, coffee at Starbucks (yes, we found both in our square, never noticed them before today). We got a few last minute things for the trip home and wandered the shops for awhile. Then we just sat in the square until we were just tired of the eternal requests to buy things or donate to some worthy cause. We were both feeling like we were ready to snap on some unfortunate salesman, so we decided to get off the street in Mc Donald's. As we were walking there, we overheard two young guys discussing the same issue. One said, "I just don't know how to say no to them!" the other replied, "dude, it's your turn. I said no last time!!" it made Sierra and I laugh. The key is to not look in the direction of their goods At All, and say "no gracias, Adios senior" the Adios is the only thing that ever really works to send them on their way. These young fellows must be new to Cuzco, because you quickly stop feeling bad about saying no!!! I'm not so intimidated about the airport this time. Pretty simple process really, unless you miss your connecting flight. Then I'm sure it is much more complicated. I hope to not find out about that!!
