QLD!

We left Katherine, NT not really knowing where we wanted to go other than east so we just set off and stopped off at Timber Creek, Mount Isa, Richmond to see the dinosaur museum (it's where they've found the most complete dinosaur remains in the world and it is bloody epic!), then hit the coast with Townsville and Cairns! We have driven on some of the most amazing roads, where you are driving along side the sea on the highway and up mountains! The photos we have are insane! Looking at them I can't believe we've been there! Unfortunately we were pretty broke whilst there so we drove to the Daintree Rainforest in Cairns but couldn't do the skyrail or train! Was still amazing tho! We also stopped off in the Whitsundays and took a walk along a few beaches, paradise is not far away from here! 

Andddd now, we live in a tent on a campsite next door to a 24/7 BP servo, which is where we now work! It's not as bad as it sounds really, there's a few locals with caravans on the site who have hooked us up with an extention lead, lamp, kettle, toastie machine and a shelf in there fridge and freezer! We're going to throw a little party when we get paid to say thanks, the nights are usually spent sat around the camp fire with these guys and they're so friendly! It's also only 6km from the beach which just stretches for miles and is perfect! As soon as I find someone with a boat we are going to try get out to see the great barrier reef, only 20kms out to sea from here! Failing that we'll do a snorkel tour after we get paid! The downside to living in a tent became apparent tonight when I went to get food from the servo, all was fine when I left and I walked back out to torrential rain, thunder, lightening and a very wet tent as I'd left the windows rolled up! It's been almost 3 months since we've seen rain and this just a brutal return!! 

Planning on staying here for a fair while and saving some money up then will head south to Brisbane before making our next move!
