In south east Asia whatever they tell you when you book a bus is probably a lie. Getting from laos to cambodia: Got collected from the guest house at 7pm. Left at 9pm on a sleeper bus for 10hours which was alrighttt, then changed on to a mini bus which took us to another sleeper bus, but this sleeper bus was already over capacity so there was about 4 people per bed, which aren't more than 1m wide and 2m long. In Vientiane, Laos at the moment, but it all seems a bit half hearted here, alot of places have closed down and even the Mekong River is under construction. So we have decided to chip off to Cambodia tonight, 20 - 24 hours on a bus!! But for the first 12 it is a sleeping bus with double beds instead of chairs. HIYYYYYYYYAAAAAAA!!! Just a quick update to say I got out of hospital a few days ago and am almost fixed! Spent 4 days in luxury compared to our beach hut!! Back in Bangkok now as we leave for Laos tomorrow, then on to Cambodia before Australia!! Also, JACK HAS THE BEST DREADLOCKS! (Pictures will be up soon!!) 6th - 7th feb We went around some of the most amazing temples in chiang mai (pictures will follow!) with huge buddahs and statues! Had to leave on the Monday night for a 12hour night bus back to Bangkok, was quite a sad departure, all the girls from number 1 bar where shouting and waving us off and Dan and Joe you guys made my birthday as well - so thank you!!! 8th - 10th feb Got in to Bangkok at about 5.30am and was the longest day ever waiting for jack!! 29th January - 5th February After heading back to bangkok for the weekend we stayed in khao san road for the night then headed to Siam square, huge shopping centre called the MBK where the 5th floor is a worldwide food hall! Nom Nom!!! Also went to a VIP cinema to watch meet the parents little fockers, reclining seats, blankets and waiter service!!! But we did have to stand to show our respects to the king throughout a movie demonstrating the kings greatness!!! ...
