We arrived in Pushkar, which was soooo different to Delhi. It was a little rural village full of sooo many foreign hippies with their families and locals.
We stayed in our first luxury hotel organised by our tour. We spent 2 days here walking round the ridiculously cheap markets, watching the beautiful sunsets by the lake and climbing a bloody mountain to visit a temple (our first bit of exercise of the hols).
Pushkar is a holy city so everyone is vegetarian and alcohol is NOT allowed. Slightly embarrassing when we fancied a beer and what we thought was alcoholic, actually was a non alcoholic becks.
Pushkar was where we first experienced the perviness of the taxi men.. What Charlie thought was Marsh being paranoid about the taxi man fancying her, lead to the taxi man constantly persisting on us drinking with him in his room. Obvs we said no STRAIGHT away!
All was good though, our next stop was Jaipur which was 2 1/2 hours away.
