Hi Everyone!
Our first stop in India was Delhi, we arrived at the airport and luckily it was no where near as stressful as we imagined! We arrived at our first hostel - Ivory Palace... you may have seen our photos (the hideous red building). We straight away got upgraded to 'our suite' haha, we felt rather special but now looking back it was just the beginning of the many cons to come.
We asked to be directed to the information centre (what a mistake), what we thought would be free info... turned into a rather expensive tour. Not all bad though as we got shown some amazing places and didn't have to stress about the buses as we got chauffeured round in our luxurious taxi. You can just imagine the cringeness when we had to tell other tourists how we'd got places haha.
Delhi was cool, so colourful and such busy markets. The roads were crazyyyy, we left Delhi feeling slightly deaf from the constant blowing of horns. We saw some beautiful places, the parks had amazing mosques and temples as you can see from our photos.
One thing though that we are still getting used to is our celebrity status. Everywhere we go we get asked for photos. On one occasion we were outside india gate and a group of young boys asked for photos... Turned out we actually were photos with their whole families.. literally like a family portrait. Was so funny. Charlie was even approached by a dad who asked her to hold his baby in a photo!
We stayed here for 2 days, then the next stop was Pushkar, a 7 hour taxi drive.
