I left Thailand towards the end of October, and travelled by slow boat for 2 days down the Mekong river, from the Thailand/Laos border down to Luang Prabang. This was a brilliant experience. So, from Chiang Mai to Chiang Rai! I flew back to Langkawi from Chaing Mai. It was nice to see some friendly faces, and to have a holiday fom a holiday! Basically do nothing for a week but re;ax! Well since my last blog I have been to a further 3 islands, stopped in Bangkok for 14 hours (between 2 night buses)- which was an eye opener and I have spent about 10 days in Chang Mai. Well I finally left Langkawi! Arrived on Ko Phi Phi on the 18th August. It is really nice here, but very different to all the places I have visited so far. There are no cars at all, just lots of push bikes. The streets are narrow with little stalls, the similarity with everywhere else are the locals; everyone is so friendly!
