Got up well early (6am!) today to get a bus to the floating market about 75km outside Bangkok. experienced first thai public toilet on the ay-not impressed; its like a hole in the floor which you squat over and the tiles where you put your feet sloe down towards it-these are clearly not designed for tourist in flip flops as gemma nearly plummeted to a watery end had charly not grabbed her on the way out and pulled her back to safety!! whilst on teh bus we met some new friends, some Aussie girls called Jess and Pru. when we got to the floating market we shared a boat with them which was like a powered gondala thing and we floated past a 'land crocodlie' as our tour guide called it, but it looked a komodo dragon. then we swapped into a paddle gondala to go into the atual floating market. there were loads of floating stalls (flalls if you will!) there selling thai gifts, food and loads of fake stuff as well as bleach?! as you never know when you might need that! and if you looked interested in something they hooked the boat in like you do with sheep! turned out that Jess was infact some sort of foreign fruit expert! and got us to try loads of different stuff like java apples, mangosteen, pommerello and these lychee things. and they were all really nice!

after that the four of us went to a snake farm/show, much to Charly's despair! she could have cried and looked likely to be sick! gemma help a huge ass python around her neck coz shes 'ard! needless to say, charly did not. there were loads of snakes around to look at. then we saw teh show which was crazy! these men were pissing off cobras and various deadly snakes and tehn picked them up in their mouths!! they also made one fight with a mongoose which we thought was mean but the mongoose really held its own!! charly and pru weer bricking it and ran away when they brought round the cobra but gem and jess stroked it! before we left we used teh loo and jess said she nearly dies because there was a floatie whicch she thought was a snkae in the loo!!

on the bus ride back Pru gave us loads od tips like where to go in Sydney which was well handy!

then we just spent the rest of the day chilling in the park before going to our first group meeting for out tour which starts tomorrow!
