post fraser island we went to the town of 1770 and did a bit of surfing and chilled out for a couple of days after our adventures on fraser!
we then went to krombit cattle ranch with the OZ bus and did clay pigeon shooting with a shotgun and real cowboys! and we did a goat rodeo where we had to catch and brand goats in mud and goat poo.. we smelt great after that! and we had a roast dinner before we got to try out cracking a whip (which is harder than it looks!) and had a go on a menchanical bull which was jokes.
the day after we went to airlie beach and it was a 10hour bus journey which was loooooong, on which we crossed the tropic of capricorn. from airlie we went on a sailing boat - the british defender - around the whitsundays. we had an awesome group and crew.. although charly once again got sea sick! yuck. the food we got was amazing and we went snorkling in our overly sexy stinger suits. we saw white haven beach we white sands which was cool.
we had a couple of good nights out in airlie as well with some girls we got to know which was good. after airlie we treked across to magnetic island which has something like 320days of sunshine but we got .. rain. we went for a walk to see wild koalas and one started climbing down the tree to get us so we ran! that night we played a ton of pool with people we met. the day after we walked to a lovely little beach to chill out, and that was easter day! so we obviously got chocolate. that night we had a few drinks and such like with friends. the next day we left for mission beach where we only crashed for the night. but on the way out we went to a crocodile farm. where gem held a snake and a baby crocodile and charly held a bird. and we saw and fed kangeroo's and dingos and walabies and we ate crocodile pie which was kind of like tough turkey.
then we got to cairns and stayed in koalas where we had a nice little mini apartment to ourselves! that night gem wasnt feeling well so charly went out with the girls which was fun. the next day we went to the great barier reef on a really nice boat. we had a really funny day. we saw a shark whilst snorkling and charly started screaming through her snorkle and we nearly drowned because we were laughing so hard. then we saw a really big fish poo which set us off again. we also found nemo and touched a turtle. saw loads of really colourful fish and a ray and a clam and electric blue star fish. in the evening we went to a night market which was nice and got an early night cos we were knackered.
on our last day we had a picnic in the lagoon with the girls and did some swimming. then that night we went out and danced etc etc. which was fun. then me and gem flew out in the morning to New Zealand!
