so we got our trip to Fraser island, the biggest sand island in the world. and went on a 2night driving and camping deal which was really fun. we got there and the van was really top heavy because all our gear for 9people for 3 days was in the top! it was mega bumpy so we all had to hold on! we went to a lake on the first day which was nice.. but we though it was going to rain so we went to pitch our tents and fire up our BBQ! that night we had steak and sausages which we cooked.
the next day we drove along the beach to go and see the shipwreck but driving along the beach we got hit by a giant wave and it completely soaked the car like a car wash! charly's face was a picture. very nervous passenger!
after the shipwreck we went to eli creek and floated down the river which was lovely. that night we camped on the beach and star gazed after another BBQ. the stars were so bright and beautiful. that night a dingo came and stole all our rubbish and made a huge mess!
in the morning our group took down our tent whilst we were in it to wake us up! and we went back along the beach to lake mckensie which was a stunning natural lake with the whitest sands and really clear water. and we hung out there for the day before driving back to the ferry. we had an awesome group and had a right laugh on the island! and we got sand in places we didnt know sand could reach. was not good.. but all in all it was a good trip!
