CC&J's Travels
LAST ENTRY FROM MALAYSIA!!!
well we are now back in KL, it was our last day of the tour yesterday so we had to say goodbye to our amazing tour leader Pam and the others in our group whch is a shame as we all got on very well but we have all exchanged email addresses and are going to share photos (theirs are a lot better than ours generaly so hopfully we will be able to put some of them on here soon).
we spent all of thursday travelling up to the Cameron Highlands which is v high and a lot cooler than anywhere else. we had a huge thunder storm loads of rain and some great lightening! we had to wear long trousers for the first time since we have been away. i loved it, was missing the cold weather of England!
On Friday we did loads of little things: we drove up to the highest point to get a good view but it was obstructed by many a cloud. so we went for a walk through the jungle and saw man eating flowers (ok i lie they were insect eating flowers, but still very cool!) called pitcher plants. then we saw tea fields and a tea factory which was actually rather boring but cbs said the tea was very nice (i don't like tea for any1 who didn't know). we also went to a butterfly farm which was great with loads of pretty flutterbys as well as snakes, scorpians, leaf frogs (my fav.), hamsters (random) and lots and lots of flowers.
lsat we visited a strawberry farm where we got the best strawberry smoothies ever!
we met some people from England in our guesthouse and one of them is even going to Portsmouth next year with Cbs, crazy. no one going to Lancaster yet tho, suprise!
we are spending the rest of today in KL, probably shopping. then we are bussing down to Singapore 2moro and then the next day we are flying to Perth to see CLAIRE, yay!!!!
we can't wait! however we will of course miss Malaysia for example the cheapness of everything (except alcohol). we wil also miss the traffic lights, sounds sily but they are great! they have a little man that tells you when to cross the road by flashing green and running himself - he has got us across safely many a time when we would have died if we were left alone. very thankful.
but we will not be missing the horrid squat toilets (so gross) and often u even have to pay to use them. we are hoping that we will blend in slightly more in Aus, tho we prob won't as we are soooo white but hopfuly that will change.
anyway, next update will be from Perth with Claire.
