Ok! hello! oliota! how are we all? Yesterday morning we left from Masindi after a rather sleepless night because of the noise, we had a radio blaring through our window all night and by all night i mean from when we went to bed and when we got out it was still at it. We left around 7am with Mohammed...we absolutely bombed it up to murchison where the journey is supposed to take 3 hours it took us under 2. We managed to get onto the 9am boat trip...put it that way...we haggled our way onto a full boat because it was booked for 3 days solid. We saw hippopotomuses (sp?!), crocodiles, buffalos, waterbuck, a variety of birds and we went to the bottom of the waterfall...it was all rather exciting! After the boat trip we took some lunch and observed the number of warthog around us....we just sang the lion king for abit...very nice at the place we were staying...red chilli camp, had a nap because we were so tired!
After we woke up, a warthog was lieing just outside our banda sooo...we decided to get real close to it and take some pictures....it worked ok with me but when rosie got to it it made this huge snorting noise got up to chase rosie. i pegged it inside and it was rather a humorous time...people watching us found us quite amusing. dont think we've laughed so much these few weeks!! We went for a walk, watched the sunset and then had supper and then bed!
We woke up this morning at 6am to go for a game drive, had packed breakfast and went off early. We saw elephants..not many and no pictures :(, giraffes-lots of they are extremely beautiful, most of the things we sawyesterday, bush buck, monkeys, baboons, warthogs, orabis (they're a kind of deer thing). it was very good but bit sad we didnt see any lions or many elephants but apparantly they're very hard to 'trap' and there are better seasons for them to be aorund.
After this we head to the top of the waterfalls which must I say was one the most amazing things I have ever seen in my entire life. The speed at which that water came gushing down the rocks it was just so amazing, we took lots and lots of photographs it was awesome cant describe how good it was!
We headed back to Masindi after this at full pelt again, hitting various things one of which we hit a bird....apparantly they are worth 100,000 shillings...its quite abit....so even though it wasnt dead still alive we shoved it in the car!
We got into the hotel we wanted....different to the other one because we fancied some sleep tonight....so we setlled in had some lunch then headed into town during lunch we had news from Paddy that Angella has had her baby girl this morning AMAZING news! so excited! we are heading down tomorrow morning to Kampala to go and visit! Can't wait!\
In town we bought some african outfits which are being made for us as we speak will arrive tonight! and we also bought some baby clothes for baby Irumba to take down tomorrow! i am so happy for them yay so exciting.
Well hope everyone is well! As i said we are heading for Kampala early tomorrow morning very exciting. Lots of love to everyone xxxx
