Arrived to Amsterdam right on schedule, feeling a bit worse for ware, but we just about had enough energy remaining for excitement. A quick tram journey took us to our hostel. The hostel seems nice and chilled there are 10 beds in out dorm which isn't too bad. After a quick rest we went off galavanting. Just wandered around for an hour taking it in. There are cyclists everywhere. They have there own roads but it's pretty relaxed. Weather is overcast but it didn't dampen our spirits. While walking around we saw all types of things:
• 2 Beautiful swooping herons in a park
• A public game of giant chess
• Very cheerful cheese shop
• An amazing guitarist
• 2 crazy men
It seems like a lovely city. Really nice atmosphere. Our first meal was infact an English breakfast which I was slightly ashamed off. And for dinner we had these glorious noodles.
Both really tired so I think the plan is to have a nap then maybe go downstairs for a pint or two. Hope everyone is well!!!
