Today in a massive display of bad judgement we hired bikes. La Paz is very hilly, I braked too hard, and flipped over the handlebars breaking my left wrist and right elbow, and seriously spraining my right shoulder too. Luckily we got a taxi straight to the hospital. Even luckier Rob sent the X-rays to an orthopaedic surgeon in the UK, as the consultant in La Paz missed the elbow break!So one cast and sling later we got another taxi home, and spent the afternoon ...

We spent today walking around La Paz, starting with the witches' market, which was just near our hotel, then walking through the streets over to the main tourist square next to the San Francisco church. Everywhere was bustling with people buying and selling, and we walked over to the government square then up a hill, the Mirador Killi Killi for an amazing view of the city. We flew in the morning on the military plane to La Paz, which was another interesting aeroplane! We headed into La Paz and spent most of the day planning the next few weeks, including Fiji!Later we had a wander around and managed to find rob a curry for dinner!
