So we went out in Auckland..... That was an interestring experience. First off we went to a place called the country club and we went to the bouncesers with our passports and they said, you know this is a over 21 party tonight, but they said we could go in anyway, turns out it was more like a over 30's party, Dom and I placed ourselves right in the middle of the room, looking good 10 years younger than everyone and with a $10 beer each, we decided to move on fast. To cut a long story short, Auckland is really quite expensive! So we got on our plan, fine with no problems, both feeling pretty tired from late nights of going out our sharing a bottle of wine in the cool New Zealand evenings, slept the whole flight so missed some nice views we were told, oh well!
Got to Christchurch and headed off on our Kiwi Experience Bus, after a little panic at the fact that you had to book a ticket two days in advance, not just on the day, but we got sorted and all was fine, just a bit of waiting around and some rat-a-tat-cat (a card game that dom and I love and that he sucks at so it puts me in a good mood whenever we play it and he gets angry! hehehe). First night was in a small old whaling village called Kakoura, pulled in Dom and I looked at each other and straight away signed up to leave the next morning, it was a dump! Anyway being the yopung adventures type we are we rallied some girls and a few boys to come to the pub with us, which turned out to be a good laugh, meet some girls our age from london and two lads from Ireland who were crazy and quite a good laugh, a highlight was when they decided to sing aloud to everyone together, ofcourse we joined in! So we moved on sharpish the next morning and buses our way all day to get to Kaiteriteri, were low and behold our Jullius Carrell was waiting for us! It was amazing to see him standing outside the hostel waiting for us, Jules being Jules he was so dirty and was missing a toe nail, but was carrying it around in his pocket. So the night went on with two now three and we joined in some beer pong competition at which Dom and I named ourselves the Riders of Rohan and put on quite a show, as most of the opther people playing were retards!
The alarm goes off at 7:30 the next morning, Dom has now worries getting out oaaf bed as he has been awake for the past 3 hours s***ting himself about the thought of our skydive! Have a video of him getting out of the hostel and having a little bit of a interview pre jump, expressing his fears. We got there and signed the varies forms and things, and all the while tension and nerves were growing in everyone, yet no one wanted to lose face. So we headed up first out of everyone there and were suited up and in the plane in no time. The resposiblity of jumping first was passed on to me, and as you can imagine I was at this point a little nervous. The door opend up and the guy told me to banana my body and wrap my legs round the bottom off the plane, I genuienly though I was going to die as I lent out but did'nt fall as I was strapped to him and he was weighing me back, so we jumped and yeah fell at 120mph for 1 minute! We got loads of photos and a videos of us all doing it, Dom's face expression as he sits on the edge of the plane had the whole centre laughing! It was then made the photo of the day on htere website. He claims he was putting it on for a show.... Jules and I say bulls***!
Rest of our time here has been spent relaxing on the beach and playing cards. We meet 4 swedish girl last night and had a really fun time with them, drinking games, and late night beach visits was last nights billings... Then today we went and picked our own mussles and then tried to cook them for our lunch. Dom was so keen about it all as he was obssed about the thought of being self sufficant, needless to say they were sick and we eat like one or two! Tomorrow we are going on a big hike round Abel Tasman national park all day. We are both still alive and having fun.
All our love, till next time
