hi everone, sorry its been so long since we last wrote. so we left mission beach and headed for magnetic island, by bus and then ferry. on arrival we checked out the island and the hostel, met a few real australians, not other backpackers for a change. the hostel was very nice, right on the beach and in a secluded location. next day we went to the other side of the island and sunbathed followed by a koala walk, unfortunately without seeing any koalas. whilst on the island we also tried to go kayaking but were warned against it as there had recently been a crocodile sighted near our area. again, we couldn't swim in the sea because of stinger season. the weather was really good there and we both really liked the place, except for the one day which char was out of action for due to a nasty hangover.
