Hi to all and thanks for your great messages of news back home and weather reports.
We arrived here last evening after an exhilarating trip on the roof of a launch speed boat belonging to the resort. They took us the scenic route to see some rocks, caves, relics etc. We had a wonderful welcome and the resort is definitely the life for me!!
Tony and I decided to indulge ourselves with a 3 hour package at the Spa including body scrub, massage, facial and gallons of green tea. Once we checked in we were led down an exotic passageway of bamboo decking and steps, koi carp ponds and lush jungle plantation. We were then stripped of everything, including jewellery and Tony's defence mechanism - his Speedos!
We were left alone, naked, in the open air (weird) to get in and out of the hot tub and steam room every 5 minutes and the two young Thai girls told us they would be back in 30 minutes. Well, anyone who knows Tony can imagine that after 15 mins he was getting twitched and started checking the clock every 30 seconds and by 20 minutes was out with a towel wrapped round his middle waiting for the girls to come back.
The body scrub was applied over every inch of our bodies except an exceedingly small area, then we were asked to take a shower outside. Only this time the two girls didn't leave! Tony was chuntering on about how many people had ever seen his parts and how intimate it had been. The recurring theme of Ping Pong crops up again but I am under a strict gagging order as to how much I say! He was stoical about it, but eventually had to surrender his towel and get in the shower.
The facial was a treat, but when I glanced across at Tony and saw him with his hair all scraped back with a white headband I had to stop myself chuckling at how he will ever live this down when Chris Watt hears about it!!
We spent the rest of the day getting over the massage and I am really now getting into 'A Spot of Bother' as recommended by the Chris and Peggy book club. We found a cheaper place to eat along the beach (which is where we took the above photo as the sun went down. Tony was happy as the bill was lower - so we told them we'd see them again tomorrow!
