We enjoyed a quiet morning at our resort before the speed boat and minibus trip back to Krabi Airport where we picked up a flight on Coconut Airways (sorry, Tiger Airways). Today is the day that Dad and I spent the morning SCUBA diving. After a rigorous training regime in the hotel pool yesterday, we were ready to take on the ocean. By 8am we had met our instructor - a little Frenchman named Sasha, boarded the dive boat, and were heading out to the dive site. Day 3 in Pimalai. 0815 in the morning, very hot (32c), late for breakfast and a date with the swimming pool for diving training. Met up with the instructors and got kitted up for the dive. Lots of bits and pieces to put on and Oh! something to breathe with. I needed an extra large wet suit! Wet suits are fine for all of you with a rubber fetish, and probably a bit like trying to wriggle into a dry sausage skin if anybody has tried that!! But we got there at last....

Hi to all and thanks for your great messages of news back home and weather reports. We arrived here last evening after an exhilarating trip on the roof of a launch speed boat belonging to the resort. They took us the scenic route to see some rocks, caves, relics etc. We had a wonderful welcome and the resort is definitely the life for me!! The morning began at 0515 hours with our early morning wake up call. This then meant we had three quarters of an hour to get up, showered and packed for the taxi arriving at 0600. By 0530, Dad was getting stressed (would you believe) and by 0545, Mum had escaped to our room to get away from the stress. We left the hotel at 0600 and by 0615 we were at the airport, all checked in and sitting in Chang Mai departures with a can of Coke. Now that's what I call making ...
