G8 memory, yes my b'day was Wednesday. The Brundles (Pete & Ron) stayed with us Wednesday night, enjoying a bit of cake :) they are now with mum and dad in Swellies. Spent an early birthday last weekend in the Karoo - very peaceful. Shorts and slops everyday here now - love it that the sun is out. Hope all is well with you guys. Cheers, Nigex

Saw Geoff and Claire at the weekend and went to watch a spectacular firework display in the Abbey Gardens. Both are well and longing to get into their renovated flat - hopefully before Christmas. They are full of wedding plans. I love weddings.

Hi Auntie Beryl,
Lovely to hear from you :) Gosh I hadn't realised you had lived in Nigeria. It is a beautiful country, it is sad that it is so undeveloped. I understood that was due to the military. It was good to see roads, transport being invested in now.
I spoke to Gran on Friday, she sounded well although was upset that she wasn't mobile and indicated that she had lost confidence in walking. I hope Uncle Charlie recovers quickly from his fall, what a blow.
Rich and Laura arrive on Saturday - we are looking forward to catching up on news of home. Lots of love. Cath, Nige and Cider xxx

Hello Cath and Nigel, Very interesting to see and read your travel blog and photos. The latest one from Lagos was a surprise, I spent a year living in Ikeja, Dad worked for the Newspaper - Daily Express, on Opongbon Street, Lagos but we lived in Ikeja and knew people working for Guiness.
Claire and myself visited A.Marge a few days ago, she was reasonably well but misses contact with everyone.
Take care especially in Nigeria.

Hello Cath & Nigel
Sounds like you are having a fab time in SA - can't believe that you have got a little puppy on the way. We look forward to meeting her when we're over in Cape Town. Just to let you know that we have booked our flights now (and have to pay for them next week!!) so will let you know all the details in due course. Is it easy to get around Cape Town or do you think that we need to keep a car with us when we are there?
Will try out the skype number soon.
