Ceri's Big Adventure!
Legian/Kuta
We have finally made it to Bali now! It is so hot here and smells of insense everywhere! the people on theyre little street shops really hassle you to buy every time you walk past even try and grab your arm its getting really tedious nowyou just have to say no thankyou or ignore them completely.
We are in Legian/Kuta at the mo the beach is really nice really good surf! not tried it yet though, got a little sunburnt today but not staying out in it too long.
We are moving up the coast tomorrow towards Lovina at the top of the island hopefully we will get less hassled!!
Food is lovely here had noodles last night but they do not know how to make a cup of tea! it was minging!!!
Lovina
After a 4 hour drive in a dodgy van with no suspension were here!! They didnt warn us to wear sports bras for the trip either.
Lovina is much smaller and quieter than in Kuta and we have had a bit of rain too although it is still very hot!
We are staying in a hotel that is costing 20,000 rupiah a night which is about one pound 10 p how cheap??
We have been on a tour to see a huge waterfall which was beautiful but we got very wet it absolutely chucked it down!! then we went on to a temple on the lake which was holding a service so we didnt go into that bit, we just walked around the gardens and looked at the lake. The next stop was to look at rice fields the views are spectacular got loads of photos but cant upload them yet as there is no usb sockets here! We stopped for lunch at a small cafe, and you thought the Beaver Inn had a nice veiw this was just amazing overlooking a valley, wow!We did have the misfortune of having to use a squatter toilet for the first time which was not pleasant but nicer than the toilets at glastonbury. We then drove on to some holy hot springs, the water comes out of the grond and flows into pools it was as hot as a bath really nice after all the rain!!
Today we went on the dolphin sunrise tour and yes 6am really does exist, thats waht time we had to meet on the beach, we went out in skinny little boats bit scary!! we cruised on out to sea for about 30 mins and then we saw them, there was about 20 altogether mabye more thay kept coming up real close to the boat then dissapearing off it was a real experiance I have never seen them that close before!! Were off to Ubud tomorrow, another early morning, it is in the centre of the island so we are expecting a lot of rain. (by the way incase I didnt mention it is rainy season)
