Day 15 of our European Adventure
Today when we got up we had to disembark the ship! We had an excursion planned & we were told our big luggage which we had packed the night before would be taken to the airport & we would pick it up there after our excursion! So we headed out to the bus for the excursion but we kept seeing everyone bringing their big luggage out & putting it under the bus! James went & asked some of them why they were doing this & found out that we were supposed to have picked it up in the port terminal so he ran back in (had to go through security again) & tried to find our bags! One of the bags was lost because the tag had fallen off so it took him a while to find it! Meanwhile I'm on the bus waiting & praying he will get back before our excursion leaves! He made it back & we still had to wait for another family whose luggage was lost! We took off for our excursion around Barcelona at about 8:30! We went first to a mountain overlooking the city (by the site of the Olympics in the 1990's)! It was a great view however it was slightly overcast with some sprinkles of rain but I think the pics will be great anyway! Then we went to an even better sight overlooking another part of Barcelona by the art museum! We continued our excursion by touring the gothic center of Barcelona & also a big cathedral there! Then we headed to la sagrada familia the famous chapel envisioned & started by Antonio gaudi! They are still working on it today! It is grander & more amazing than anything I've ever seen! It's absolutely stunning! We stopped at a pastry shop on our way back to the bus & then we were fortunate enough to be dropped off right at the front door of our hotel! After checking in we went up to our room & after talking with some of the family we decided to take a nap! We got up around 5:30 & went out for a walk to find some dinner! We ate at an outdoor venue & had some Spanish ham pizza! It was sort of like having bacon on pizza! We ate a little gelato & retired for the evening! Another great & exciting day in our adventure!

James here - After the high stress baggage event Cindy wrote about the rest of the day went really good. There was a taxi strike that day so we were very nervous about how we were going to get to our hotel. But our tour guide worked it out with our bus driver and they dropped us off right in front of our hotel. Thank you Jesus!!
