Hi everybody!
So we have left South Africa and are now in Thailand. We arrived in Bangkok feeling extremely exhuasted from a long flight but with lots of time to spare. We surprised ourselves with how much we managed to fit in to one day! The hotel organised us a tuk tuk and he took us to a temple with the biggest bhuda you have ever seen in your life! Then after wandering around there for a bit we got taken to a tailors and a jewllery factory which we later found out was a scam as he gets commission from taking people there, but we had an enjoyable day regardless! We also got a long tail speed boat down the river which was really fun!
We then met with our tour and went out for dinner and then watched some live music in an irish bar. They are all really lovely, but liv got a tad depressed listening to the live music as she couldn't do the sound check :(
We got also got a Thai massage which was quite an experience! As usual Cath got the giggles! They really got all of the knots and cracks out but they flung us from side to side in order to do so! We also got a fish foot spa. You put your feet into a giant tank of little fish and they all swarm around and eat the dead skin off your feet! We were laughing for about 10 minutes as it tickled so much!
Well we are now in a place called Ao Nang, Krabi. We arrived yesterday after spending the night on a sleeper train which I wouldn't say was the best nights sleep either of us has had. We went on a boat tour today with the whole group, which took us around loads of beautiful islands, most of which were used to film the movie 'The Beach'. (ahh Leo!) There were lots of snorkelling opportunities and the water was crystal clear and the temperature of a bath! Amazing stuff! Unfortunately we fell asleep on the beach (in the shade we might add!) and had a small sun burning incident! Cath definately won't be sleeping on her back tonight! Liv aslo managed to scrape her foot on some coral even though it, somehow, looked miles away! Plasters Ahoy!
Anyway! We have one day left in Krabi before we head in to Malaysia but so far we are both loving Thailand and having the best time! Slightly sick of noodles and rice for lunch and dinner (breakfast is optional, luckily) but we're doing an elephant trek tomorrow so can't complain too much!
Hope you all had a lovely easter! Miss you lots and keep your messages coming. We love to hear about what you lovely people are up to!
Love love love love love!
Libs and Cath
