Hello again!

So we are swiftly moving up the coastline of eastern australia! After leaving Byron Bay we headed up to Brisbane. We only spent one night there but we both really loved the city. We were fortunate enough to be there on Anzac day, which is an Australian war memorial day, so there were lots of parades of important people and a general business and buzz :)

We then had quite a long bus journey up to Rainbow beach, which is where we are again now! We've just got back from our 3 day self-drive safari trip on Fraser Island - AMAAZZIINNGG!!!! We were put in groups of 8 with a supposed equal ratio of males to females, however somehow we ended up with the two of us and 6 boys. OHHHH the fun. equal ratio my bottom! They all turned out to be lovely lads, 4 from bath and the other 2 from essex, and we all had a wicked few days. We drove around some really beautiful sights in Ian (our 4X4) who we became very attatched to, and then camped on the beach in the evenings. Lots of Dingos and bugs and two terrible nights sleep but still an amazing trip. The island has some of the freshest water in the world so the lakes we visited were gorgeous. We're both fairly battered and bruised as the roads weren't exactly the smoothest, and we had a couple of hairy moments whilst driving on the deep sand but we're both in one piece! We actually have some pancake mixture left over from our supplies which we are all about to have for din dins!

Needless to say we are very excited to be sleeping on an actual bed tonight! Had some very bad luck today unfortunately.. Cath has left her camera on the island.. We are waiting to hear if anyone has found it and handed it in, but we're unsure as to whether we'll get it back :( both very sad as if we don't its a lot of photos lost.

On the plus side LIBS GOT INTO BIMM!! :D thats the music college in brighton she applied for in case you werent sure, so that has certainly lifted our spirits somewhat!!
