November 28, a monumental day for our road trip as it is our last day.
However instead of sitting at Calgary airport waiting for our flight, we're in an internet cafe in Banff. Couldn't bear the thought of the trip ending just yet, so we have changed our flights to December 1st.
The Rockies have been fantastic, COLD but fantastic. We went to snow school the other day to learn to snow board. Interesting day. It was snowing and minus 23 on the mountain and there we were strapping bits of fibreglass to our feet, in the hope that we would glide gracefully and peacefully to the bottom. FAT CHANCE! Why didn't someone warn me that it would be beneficial to stuff a cushion down the back of my snow pants? My backside is BLACK! I think I spent more time on my knees and flat on my back than actually swooshing gracefully down the mountain. There were a few glorious swooshing moments, but the pain the next day made the glory hard to recall.
However time heals all wounds and two days on we're taking our broken bums and heading back up the mountain. We must have brains the size of peas.
