Today we were off for a full day of looking around Edinburgh and we certainly weren't disappointed! After catching the bus in to town (learnt from our driving and parking lesson in York!), we headed straight for Edinburgh Castle. Wow! We've seen photos and knew it would be spectacular, but a photo and some words really just can't do it justice. All we can say is, if you've got any interest in looking at old castles/buildings, put Edinburgh up high on your list. And there's so much more than just Edinburgh Castle to look at. Wow!

From their we headed to Hollyrood Palace on foot, only to arrive at 3:34pm and be told that last admission is at 3:30pm. What the?! School is only just out at 3:30! So we ditched the sightseeing and walking (we'd already covered some serious miles) and found a nice little Scottish pub for a Cosmopolitan and a pint of McEwan's Scottish ale!

Now we've finally made it back to our home on wheels, had a feed of steak and veggies, Case's had another cold shower (I don't think we'll be buying shares in Combi brand water heaters anytime soon!) and will shortly hit the hay before another day of driving adventure tomorrow…
