Today we had BIG plans as it was our last proper day in London. First stop for the day was St Pancras International train station where we went to pick up our Eurostar tickets (train from London to Paris) and book or Eurorail tickets (Tickets that will let us travel on pretty much any train in mainland Europe). Today we were much better prepared for our day of sightseeing, which was lucky because we were met with snow when we emerged from the hotel! Back on with the thermals, scarfs, beanies, umbrellas etc and most importantly, shoes without holes! We attacked differently today, heading for Hyde Park. Today we had big plans to see some of the sights of London. We set off early(ish!) for Westminster, being met with drizzling rain when we poked our heads out of the tube station. Being the brave adventurers that we are, we headed to the closest cafe to have a hot coffee and wait to see if the rain was going to ease up. Unfortunately it seems to rain here for days rather than hours, so when we emerged from the cafe we headed to the closest shop to buy an umbrella!...

So not much exciting happened today; started the day off with "a big english breakfast" at a little cafe down the road from where we were staying. £6 each for the works - bacon, eggs, beans, sausage, hash browns, toast, mushroom and tomato. Today was a day for travel and jet lag! Up at 7 to be at the airport for a midday departure. The plane was absolutely packed, with our seats pretty much in the boot (absolute last row possible in a 747 which is a looong way from the front)! The flight wasn't too painful; we managed to make up some time during the flight and got into London about 30 mins early.
