Mary and I met Stacia, Josh, Sophia and Sam at beach house on Dauphin Is. last Sat Apr 11, 2009. We all had a great time relaxing and enjoying the sand and water. The weather was good but very windy most mornings, the afternoons were good to go down on the beach. Josh and Sophia were the only ones to swim, the rest of us got our feet wet. The water was still COOL. We could hardly believe when the week had pasted and it was time to leave.

I will finish getting my food mail boxes ready this week. Mary will mail the correct box to the town I plan to pass thru and resupply. I plan to be back on the AT trail on Apr 26, and look forward to "hike my own hike", and now worry about the distance I do each day or how fast I hike. Should be much more fun and hope to take more pictures. I do hope to get to Demascus, VA by the end of June, but we'll see. That will not be half the trail, but it will be a good hike.

Spending the week with the grandkids, made me realize I did not want to miss the three weeks that Stacia and G'kids will spend here in July, so the completion of the AT will have to wait until next year. The trail will be there, the grandkids are this age only once and I do not want to miss any chance to spend time with them.
